The infusion components produced by our company mainly include the following types:

Infusion Spike

An infusion spike is a medical device used to access and withdraw fluids from intravenous (IV) bags or bottles for infusion. It's a sharp, pointed component of an IV administration set, designed to puncture a port on the IV bag or bottle and allow fluid to flow through the tubing.

Precision Flow Regulator

It helps iv fluids flow more stably and accurately throughout the whole infusion process. Compared with common iv flow regulator or roller clamp, precise iv flow regulator provides a more accurate control of flow rate, because there is certain flow rate you can select via precise flow regulator, while it's not applicable for common clamp.

Advantages of Infusion Components

Infusion Spike

Infusion spike have many advantages, including:

Enhanced safety and sterility:

Infusion spikes, especially disposable ones, help prevent cross-contamination by providing a single-use, sterile pathway for fluid transfer, minimizing microbial buildup associated with reusable equipment.

Time-saving convenience:

Disposable spikes eliminate the time and effort required for cleaning and sterilizing reusable equipment, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care.

Versatility in applications:

Infusion spikes are designed to handle a wide range of tasks and are compatible with various containers and fluids, making them suitable for different medical and laboratory settings.

Long-term cost savings:

While reusable spikes may seem initially cheaper, the ongoing costs associated with sterilization equipment, chemicals, and labor can make disposable spikes a more economical choice over time.

Precision Flow Regulator

Precision flow regulator have many advantages, including:

Enhanced safety: By ensuring meticulous control over flow rates, precision regulators minimize the risk of over- or under-dosing, bolus infusions, and potential contamination, contributing significantly to patient safety. They often include features like pressure relief valves and robust housings to further enhance safety.

Accurate and consistent delivery: These regulators are specifically designed to deliver gases or fluids at precise, consistent rates, which is vital for patient safety and treatment efficacy, especially when administering medications or oxygen.

Application of Infusion Components

Infusion Spike

Infusion spike can be used for a variety of purposes, including: An IV (intravenous) infusion spike is the sharp, pointed end of an IV administration set that is inserted into a port on an IV bag or bottle to allow fluid to flow into the tubing and ultimately to the patient. It's a crucial component in the process of delivering intravenous fluids and medications.

Precision Flow Regulator

Precision flow regulator can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

Anesthesia and ventilation:

In anesthesia machines and ventilators, flow regulators are used to precisely control the delivery of anesthetic gases and respiratory support gases.

Infusion pumps:

Some infusion pumps utilize flow regulators to further refine and control the flow rate, ensuring accurate and reliable delivery of medication or fluids.

Iv fluid administration:

Flow regulators are used in iv infusion sets to control the rate of fluid delivery, ensuring accurate and safe administration of medications, nutrients, and other solutions.

Oxygen therapy:

Precision flow regulators are used in oxygen concentrators, cylinders, and other devices to deliver a specific flow rate of oxygen, which is critical for patients with respiratory conditions.

productcate-800-500

Place the l.V. s solution container at about 80 cm above the outlet level. Connect the Extension Set with Regulator to the lV. set (not necessary if Regulator is already contained in l.V. set). Open the clamp to begin priming the line.

Check that liquid is coming out of the end of the line. Regulator is provided in the OPEN position. Completely turning Regulator from OPEN position to OFF position and then adjust the Regulator scale to the required value. Connect the l.V. line to the catheter or needle. Double check that Regulator is delivering the required flow rate by counting the drops.

FAQ

Q: What is the purpose of a vented spike?

A: In contrast, rigid bottles require a vented spike, which allows air to flow into the container through a sterile filter as the solution drains out, thereby preventing the formation of a vacuum that would prematurely halt liquid infusion.

Q: How long does it take to recover from IV fluids?

A: The time it takes to feel better after IV hydration can change based on the individual's condition and the seriousness of their dehydration. In most cases, people begin to feel better within a few hours after receiving IV hydration therapy.

Q: What is the difference between vented and non vented infusion sets?

A: Vented IV sets have a small vent that can be opened and closed to allow for air to enter and displace the fluid as it leaves. The fluid will not flow from a rigid IV container unless it is vented. Non-vented IV sets are just the opposite of vented IV sets - they don't have any vents in the tubing.

Q: How to regulate IV flow rate manually?

A: A nurse will use a clamp to increase or decrease the pressure on an IV tube to slow or speed the rate of flow. They can count the number of drops per minute to make sure the rate of flow is correct, and adjust it as needed.

Q: What to do if IV fluid is not flowing?

A: Check to be sure tubing is not clamped or kinked. Try changing the position of your arm. Stop the infusion and flush your catheter with saline (or sterile water if instructed) and attempt to restart the infusion. If the problem persists, call your nurse.

Q: How does an IV flow regulator work?

A: IV flow regulators use gravity to infuse. The IV bag should be hung on a high pole while the patient's arm is as low as possible. Now you can let the medication infuse into the patient's arm by gravity until the bag is empty. The infusion rate should be checked regularly whenever infusing by gravity.
